The Lift installation program was udertaken to upgrade the lift installations to meet current regulations and to introduce additional lifts throughout the college.
The works consisted of;
. De-commisioning, dismantling and removal of old lifts and all associated lift and motor gear.
. To demolish a number of smaller lift shafts and to re-build new enlarged lift shafts.
. To carry out major structural alterations to lift shafts and lift pits including demolition, new structural steelwork.
. Deepening Lift shafts and underpining works to lift shafts/pits.
. To widen, cut in new shaft door openings.
. To supply and install 5 new DDA compliant Passenger Lifts.
The college could not allow noisy or disruptive works during Term/Class times and we programmed the works to be carried out during weekends and 'Out of Hours' to minimise disruption.

Works involved - Light Weight Metal Framing to curved Facades & infill areas, insulated with Rockwool Insulation, then clad in cement particle board ready for Marley Eternit Cladding System.

We installed Marley Eternit Cladding System to the curved facades off Cherry Pickers.

The Eternit Panels were mainly factory cut with the curved sections formed on site to a very high standard by our trained personnel.

The Framing system was installed to Curves and was a intricate and highly detailed operation to form the curves to the building as required by the Architect.
